any reason why you're not sure you want the first year? is it a price markup issue?

I'm not worry about the mark up that much since my buddy own the dealer, I'm kinda worry about the first year production also I heard that they are comming out a V-Spec next year.

I just read that on the Zilvia.net forums.

Maybe I'll have to just get an S14 to pass the time.

No one seems to have noticed that the 911 Turbo was an AUTOMATIC! Not exactly a fair comparison since the auto in the 911 is nowhere near as sophisticated as the one in the GT-R (which is a clutchless manual tranny). Manual-to-manual would've made it a lot closer, I think.

Oh yeah - it'd help if the Porsche wasn't all over the track as well. Perhaps the guy overdriving it is indicative of how hard he was having to try to (unsuccessfully) stay ahead of the GT-R.

I highly doubt it's as quick to shift or as easy to manipulate. It launches harder, I believe (ie, it's quicker to 60 mph), but that's about it. It's less efficient mechanically and you have much less control over the car. I would imagine it definitely slowed him down.
