Gentlemen,

I am having the same issue with this exhaust as Trackfreaks. My mid section is making an AWFUL tini noise between 2-3k rpm and then 4.5rpm-6krpm. It is almost unbearable and is exactly as Trackfreaks described.

The quality is amazing and exhaust is incredibly light but, something is seriously wrong with that mid section/resonator. I am very very sad as I dropped all this $ on an exhaust that sounds just as bad as my old HKS that had a huge hole in the same center piece that Trackfreaks needed to replace.

I will be reachig out to the vendor in a few minutes and I hope they will help and get this resolved in a timely manner. I will keep everyone posted on the progress. I choose to not disclose the name of the vendor at this give time.

Many Thanks,

Dmitriy

Vendor rep responded within the first hour and this is being resolved as we speak. Will keep you guys posted, but this is looking really good. Can't wait to have a working resonator.

Sounds like a trumpet/rasp. It is much louder than the exhaust note itself.

thanks for making the video. Even though I dont have this exhaust I got my used ASM the other day and it sounds the exact damn way although not as bad as yours. What kind of resonator do you think you will get? A HKS replacement or something like a Vibrant???

Whatever HKS send my vendor. Vendor is being very helpful and apologetic btw.

I am under the impression HKS has a redesigned piece that will be replacing faulty units. It sounds like HKS knows they messed up.

Glad to not be the only one with the HKS SPec-L fauty ressonator pipe, HKS sent me another replacement, and it was ruined also in the day after i instaled it on a trackday...

I solve my problem replacing it, by the HKS SSM, and could not be more happier! LOVE it even more than the spec L, the sound between 1000 and 6000 it is OEM style, after that remind´s my Evasive 70mm, raspy till 9000k, and ZERO drone.
