This launch sounds like a gun being shot or a whip cracking... You can tell they were aiming for a 7 second run because no one even cheers for his 8.xxx.

ALSO, before anyone comments on how he didn't launch when it turned green it doesn't matter to him because he wasn't going off the light. When you're out at a track to just get times and practice it won't start counting until you've left the line. It can turn green for 30 seconds before you take off and he still would have gotten an 8.xxx. Only when you are racing someone does your reaction time matter.
