I decided it's time to move on...
Nice car.
What happened to this stuff
:
You have a too-high $578/mo payment on a car you owe $16k on and you're shopping with a $60k sky? Huh?
What happened to this stuff
:
P.S: I lied that their customer service is what caused me to turn away from the CR, but in reality, I realized a few things while sitting around and discussing purchasing the car with two different salesman:
1) I'd miss my SS AP2, which is my first car, btw;
2) The S2000CR looked incredible in apex blue, but I wanted it in yellow (spa or rio? th_dontknow.gif ) so I know I would've been disappointed with the purchase in the end;
3) I already pay $578/mo for my current S2K and there's about $15-16k left before it's paid off;
4) For a $29,900 2008 car, the S2000CR's monthly payment was too high; and lastly,
5) You have to pay to play, but I already own a pretty nice stock AP2, so I'll just spend the extra money I didn't waste on a down payment for the CR on either a few exterior mods or continue saving for whatever else I'd like.

I was hoping nobody would call me out on that.
Well, the dealers called and proposed an offer I couldn't refuse. Plus, I was just bluffing with what I said for the most part. I was really just saying that to make myself (kind of) feel better about not being able to buy the S2000 CR.
I have no problem with admitting that I wanted to make myself feel better because I was literally sad for the past few days before buying the CR since I was really desiring it.

So to u how does the cr compare vs ur old s, not talking about track times either

When I said that the M3 would draw too much attention, I didn't mean from onlookers. I meant, the cops would be on me like I stole the car, whereas it seems like cops notice the Honda emblem on my S2K & just assume, "He probably put a spoiler on a Civic. Let's leave him alone."

Anyway, as I was saying, the S2000CR turns heads no matter what. This morning, there was a brand spanking new Carrera S on the highway next to me, and I noticed the driver and his g/f (or wife or whoever) staring over at my S2K like they just spotted an exotic car.
No lie.I saw 2 kids randomly walk up to my car in the parking lot at work and start peering through the windows... The brats left their finger prints, too.
Other than the fact that the car just seems to break necks everywhere, I have to say that I also really enjoy the hardtop. Sure, if Honda had brought a Type-S here, too, I would've been all over that, but the hard top makes visibility problems, such as blind spots, a thing of the past... Sort of.

Sorry, I realize I'm rambling on continuously. I'll add more once I actually start driving the car more often. Since buying it yesterday, it's just been sitting at my work's parking lot in one spot for several hours before being driven home.

The only reason the M3 was even considered was because my dad offered to help me out. I didn't go with his help because in the end, I didn't want to waste all his cash and mine on a car I would most likely get my license revoked with. Once again, 414 hp > 237 hp and I've already gotten 2 tickets in the past year and half for driving like I'm on a race track; however, neither of the 2 tickets came from driving my S.

Anyway, I guess I might as well clear things up a bit:
1) The $60k limit was set because my dad offered to help;
2) I personally can't afford anything above a $700/mo payment and though $578/mo for my '07 wasn't too much, I just wanted a new car
;3) Daily driving an M3 wouldn't have ended well for me;
and
4) If anything I said sounds like bullshit, just know this that I have nothing to win or lose from sharing a short tale with total strangers.
In other words, why would I want to lie? I don't care if any S2Ki-ers think I'm cool or not. I already hardly go to any meets so I don't really have any friends through S2Ki.
Nice upgrade but i have to say i wounder what u do for work at 19 to make so much money. I mean if u can aford a new M3 u have to have a good job. Also u can aford $700 a month car note dam thats alot?? I wounder if u live with the Dad still to aford that bill. Well congrads on the CR i love mine but i need more room and free up some debt. So im geting rid of mine
