Default InlinePro 2.5L V. Comptech Blower Video.....

Well I went out a couple weeks ago to really give the 2.5L a level of comparison, so what better to test it against then the ever beloved by s2ki, Comptech supercharger. Below you will see the dyno graphs comparing the two motors and my stock baseline runs. Please note that the numbers i make in the below graphs are in fact higher then what i was running that night as the numbers you see on the graph are with out the exhaust on in other words open headers, the night my car was pushing 230whp and about 180ft/lbs of torque. NO i did not win but i just wanted to show what this thing can really do. So to put it in to perspective this replicates a 1/4 mile starting form a roll in 2nd gear which eliminates the launch which personally i think hurts me more then the supercharger. Also keep in mind we are talking about maybe a car length and a half victory in a 1/4mi. which based on numbers is kind of sad considering the supercharger is making 70whp MORE then me!! I know this will create alot of controversy but hey if nothing else its food for thought.

Sorry for the poor quality and after the race the movie is over even though it seems it should go on, not really sure what happened there

im surprised by how much hp the inline kit is putting out after a complete rebuild. here is a plot of the j's racing header mugen intake and t1r exh and its putting out 223whp. i wonder what the j's 70rr will do along with an ems tune will put out....... we'll find out shortly ill post my results shortly on a 2.0l with all the j's parts and ems tune.
btw....nice set up and car.

187 lb-ft from 2.5 liters is 74.8 lb-ft per liter.

137 lb-ft from 2.0 liters is 68.5 lb-ft per liter.

Not only is there more displacement to work with, you make much better use of that displacement. Very nice.

Why does the torque fall off after 6000 rpm? Are you pulling back on timing?

CynCrvrAP1-yea i agree the hp rating isnt to impresive but the real potential of the motor can be seen in the tourque youll never get close to it with a 2L. I really think the problem wiht the set up is that it not "breathing" enough its not able to flow enough in or out of the motor which is really taking away from its potential. Also unlike toda and others the compression is quite mild only 11.5:1 not the typical 13:1 found on todas products. With a 13:1 set up its really borderline to run on pump gas (93oct. where i live). I would like to go to a 12.5:1 piston soon for street or something completely unheard of for a race motor.....time will tell what i decide. Looking back on it now i think a great way to go is to go wiht 22.l sotkc bottom end wiht a 00-03 head W/ IHE and a 04+ tranny all on EMS that would be sweet. Good luck wiht your set up sounds like you got a real nice set up going on!

-docent-the stroker is 5500.- for an assembled short block.

Jakub- agreed i have nothing on turbos, but a turbo S2K is to much of hassle to have reliable safe high hp if all you want is 300-350hp i would just buy a blower itll be cheaper. just my opionon
