Installation took about four hours with few glitches. More on that below photos
I did have to build shims and install them on one of the windshield latches. Discovered that they had lock-tighted the screws at the factory so they were very difficult to remove. The only other glitch was that I had to enlarge the holes on one of the rear brackets because i needed a bit more adjustment range than was provided. I just can't believe how sexy the car looks with the hardtop on, it gets even more double-takes than before. The HT emphasizes the far-aft cockpit- beautiful!! I'll use it mainly in Winter. Driving is not claustrophobic at all with that huge rear window, and the sound system sounds great.
I highly recommend it for anyone on the fence. I got mine from handa.com for $2290+CA tax. Complete kit in (huge) factory box. No shipping because I picked it up in Sacramento at the dealer Handa works out of. I got in on the tail end of a $500 rebate period, but no doubt that will be repeated.
Forgot to mention- I do notice a bit more body roll in hard turns due to the 45 lbs added so high up on the car, but its worth it. No doubt some increased performance will be seen at high speeds due to obvious aerodynamic impriovement over the ragtop. Does anybody know how difficult it would be to remove the ragtop and its retraction mechanism to reduce weight? Of course I'd want to be able to easily re-install it.
Also- If you install or have installed an HT of your own, be sure to save all the parts removed just in case you want to move the top to your NEXT S2K, as I plan to do. I just hope they keep making the cars to fit it.
Socal 28- are you refering to the dot-matrix around the rear window. Actually, I kind of like it. It's painted on the inside to hide support structure that would otherwise be visible, and does not really reduce the available field of view from inside.

I think he's talking about the black tape on the front piece holding the windshield.
