Default It's an AP2

LOOK

Looks like an Ap2 yes?

Definitely an Ap2...

With 9K!!!!!

It was my project for about the last six months. Some of you may know that I have been running a 00-01 ECU on my 2004 Ap2 for a year now. Having the desire to see that last 1000 rpm I went and bought a defi-x HUB. I didn't like it and sold it after several months. After doing some research, I found out that the Ap2v1 and Ap1 basically have the same wirings except for the plugs/connectors of course. I decided to buy an Ap1 cluster with the mileage (41,155) slighly higher than mine (about 38k at that time) and hopefully in about several months both cluster will reach the same odometer reading. I spent the next month or so making my own plugs. After I finished, I drove and waited, and then driving some more hoping soon I will hit that 41,155 mark. I planned down to the last 100 miles (avoiding long trips) and then 10 miles (short freeway run) to get down to the last mile. Here are some more pictures:

After 21 miles of driving to work and test driving.

Because finding a UK cluster with the mileage slightly higher than mine could be difficult. I did look for it on here and ebay too, but forgot to post WTB in UK forum.

Another example as to why AP1s are better. J/K, great job and it looks great as well!

So...can you safely rev to 9 regularly?? Or do you simply want to see the 9 on the gauge?

I rev to 8.5k regularly, 9k once in while. I actually make the tach red from 8.5k to 9k. I'll take a better picture tomorrow.
