JAGUAR C-X75
TG recently posted this (click on title to jump): Have a listen to the Jaguar C-X75 subtitle: 10,000rpm from a 1.6-litre Jag four-pot? Oh yes. This is the sound of the future, Internet
Other than the electrics, CF and a few other bits, the S was 'out there' and in the consumer market with revs many years ahead. Couldn't one could aggresively boost, tune, upgrade fuel-system/drivetrain/suspension/brakes/tires on an S and end up with about 900bhp @ 8K/9K rpm for (perhaps not even as much as) 1/10 the price of the proposed Jag?
The audio track of the 1.6L engine is very similar to some of the boosted S's one finds on YouTube. Note: the engine image at the end of the article answers the question, "Do I need heat sheilding on my high-boost S?"
