Default J's Type S hood painted

Just wanted to contribute some pictures for people to reference in the future if they're interested in seeing how painted CF hoods would look.

Most of the painted CF hoods I found on this site were mostly Mugen/style hoods, I was able to find 1 or 2 J's style, but it wasn't an easy find. I hope I made my subject line clear enough so the search function can pick it up.

Here is some before pictures:

Here is one after: (sorry I don't have a good camara, this was right I after I brought it home from the shop)

Reason for painting: I've had the J's Hood since early 2003, and its taken quite a beating. The last few years, the clear coat actually began to wear due to high radiant heat from under the hood. So my options were to get a new hood, or fix the one I have.

Since this J's hood's fitment was so good, I decided to not risk getting a new hood and have poor fitment issues, and I've always wanted to change the look of my car after this many years, so I decided to get it painted.

Thanks for looking. I hope this post will be useful for owners who might want to get their CF hood painted down the road

Tip: For all current CF hood owners, I strongly recommend this product if you haven't add any protection to your hood yet. This product will prevent the clear coat on your CF hood to get baked by the engine like mine did. It's a relatively cheap investment so your hood won't end up looking like mine did. I've added this to my hood now after the new paint job.
