It looks like it's been tightened before - I've had the car so long and done so much I really can't remember but the nut looks like it's been tightened and restaked. The actual axle nut looks recessed more than the axle or hub or whatever the axle nut threads onto.

OP is running same wheels/offsets with the flat center caps. Maybe this is a AP1/AP2 or model year variation?
