Several friends & colleagues of mine have had Elises - they're actually so popular down here a lot of the "specialness" has worn off. I considered one but almost everyone I know who has had one has cursed it once the novelty factor has worn off as its so impractical and uncomfortable.
Has to be a second car.
In a car park of some 500 cars here in summer there are 2 S2000s (only one before I got mine) and around 15 Elises.
Great cars though - just think long and hard before you buy one !

all of my posts here have been directed towards the US members of the board who aren't so fortunate to have these little buggers buzzing around the streets... I guessing the US elise will be a bit less raw, designed a bit more for day to day driving

Ouch Ced, just ouch! I think I'm going to hang in there until the US version arrives or at least until I can drive one, but until then I'm going to digest every single bit of information I can on the Elise, I'll be an expert in a week...this is how anal-frikin'-retentive I am .

Thanks for all your help and wise words.

Sax, dude, I should have mentioned I'm on dialup until next week, those pix are killing me, but they rock! Feel free to post as many as you like, just make em' a little smaller for us poor folk...lol.

i would never get that car, or the one they are calling the vauxhall, that is really an Opel Speedster.
They are cheaper than s2000, the Opel that is, and have nothing inside. I am talking manual windows, lol.
