forget the dyno you arent going to pick up gains on air temp.

what you WILL pick up is that the mugen intake uses an airhorn - wonder if king sells that by itself?

damm.....8 hrs to put in an intake? took me less than that to put on my hardtop....you gotta modify some stuff, like bending the metal? or is it just a true bolt on?

Thank you all for the nice comments

The comptech cai is a very good one, but the mugen is the intake which i was looking all the time. Superior quality and the included ram-air effect makes this intake to the probably best on the market.

It is a lot of work, and i also did not want to make any mistakes. I bet some guys could install it in a shorter time. You have to cut the air guide and the hood.

more info on the hood cut?
On my last photo you see the necessary hood-cut. With a dremel-tool its not so hard to do. For the cutting i removed the hood from my car.

took about 4hrs to do mine. All you have to know about the Mugen Intake is that it is not only used by Mugen, but J's and Amuse and many other Japanese tuners run it on their car.

Hey,

Is that the air cleaner listed for $1500 in the Mugen website?

very cool.

I realize its a little early on but how do you like it so far? Can you feel any difference? How's the sound?

I'd imagine that it will make quite a difference on a hot day.

Again, great work and thanks for posting the pic's.

What's the noise level on the Mugen CAI anyway? If their exhaust is anything to go by I am thinking it's close to stock?
