Just picked her up
This is turning out to be a very big hastle.
The story:
I was in the FAU parking lot, trying to find a spot for class. I spied one come open, rushed over, and got it. There were 2 shitty corollas on both sides of me in this spot. Both were parked on or over the lines, making the spot i was in very tight. I decided that it was too risky to leave my car there for 3 hours while in class.
So, I start to back out of the spot. I look to my right and a SUV pulls up and turns on their signal to get into my spot. So, since traffic from that direction should be stopped, I turned the other way and saw that no one was coming. I back out of the spot to where the car is 80% out of the spot and im almost ready to start going forward to leave the spot.
All of a sudden, BAM, I get hit from behind by a 2001 Nissan Altima. She wasnt pulling out of a spot, she was late for a test and decided that she could not wait for me to pull out of the spot and leave - She went around the SUV waiting for my spot, into the oncoming lane, and as she was trying to merge over back into the correct lane, she hit the rear end of my car, ripped the bumper cover off, cracked my rear lights, bent the trunk and the drivers side fender.
Now the Kicker - I report this to my insurance (progressive), they contact her insurance (Geico) - I get a call a few minutes later saying "Based on the facts, our policy holder is 0% liable for this accident".
F M L - I can't believe this is happening to me. In trying to protect my car, I caused more harm by leaving a tight spot. WTF

Dang, I hate university parking. That's why I usually get to the campus an hour earlier than I should to avoid situations like this.
Did you talk to the person in the SUV to see if they're willing to be a witness?
