Keyless entry car, easier to break into?
Must've been a crack head, given what they've stolen and their high attention to detail. But really, sorry to hear about the break in. Keep an eye out for some dude walking down the street, rocking your gear.
It was a ghetto town near Newark in Jersey. A lot of crackheads are around, the vicinity, but the job was done professionally. Funny thing is, I'm sure there were people around the lot watching the asshole jump in and out of my car.
Sorry to hear your loss man ...
Like what others said, keyless entry wouldn't make the car any harder to break into under normal circumstances.
If you REALLY want to make it a little more difficult, you cover up the key holes/remove the bolt and put some "stuff" (usually sound deadening materials) above the bar that connects the door lock from inside the car to the door handle. Doing all that would make it impossible to open the lock by jamming a screw driver into the bolt, and would make it much harder to pick the lock using a "slim jim". But then ... I dunno if you wanna go that far. Besides, if the guy wants to get into your car, he would smash the windows (or slash the top if you were driving the S2000).
As far as insurance paper goes ... believe it or not ... I carry my insurance paper and registration with me in my wallet (along with my parking garage's pass). Yes ... I'm paranoid ...
Otherwise, in my previous car, I used to block out the address and make a photocopy of the documents and keep those in the car (Canada used to allow that, not sure if it's still the case). Or you could always hide the insurance paper somewhere else that's not so obvious (like behind a kick panel that you could remove using just your hands?).
I mean ... I even hide my wheel lock in an odd place as well (no ... my wheel lock is not by where my spare tire tools are ...
)
I was so paranoid in the beginning that I would worry about people wanting to steal my EZ Pass!!!
Anyway, best of luck to you!

They could be at your house, call a partner of theirs and if that guy is by your car it will open it if they hold it to the phone and press unlock? I thought it was BS but i tried it and it work.

I'm also thinking about shaving the keyhole and replacing the piece that fell apart.
I like how they did a clean job, I remember when my jetta was robbed and they trashed it. Banged up windows and while they breaking it, they damaged dash as well with window frame.
So that is such a clean robbery compare to mine.
Oh for the items you that were stolen, yes yes, they took my friend's laundry bag as well with my books and car refreshner
. Oh did i mention that they took my CD's as well? Yes they were just burned CDs
As far as your insurance card, probably they thought you can't contact insurance company if they steal a card.
Don't worry, they will end up in hell or something.

Nah, it's ok. I just hope there isn't any after-effect. I don't want to deal w/ any identity theft, or that dude finding my house and trying to break-in.
If that ever happens and I find him doing so...he'll probably die.
