Long exposure, then walk around with a light source and light the cars.

Depending on where I'm at, sometimes I try to take a shorter shot for the background, then do the longer one and walk around with my SB600 and pop off a few flashes. Afterwards, drop that shot on top of said background or leave it as black in other cases.

My avatar is one I did back home in Miami. Sat out in driveway, and just walked around in complete darkness popping off a few test flashes. I have more Photoshop time in cleaning up the car body than I do in brightening the picture.
