Livid!
On the second day... I drove to work as usual, and this is what i come out to find... If you look close enough, the blue paint on that Dodge matches the blue paint on the scratch. When I went back inside to question the owner of that verhicle, it was met with,"Oh no, it wasn't me - I'm usually very careful when it comes to that stuff..."
Needless to say that I am livid.

I thought the same thing... why the hell would they stick around after hitting me. After thinking about it and speaking to them, I came to realize 2 things: 1) Not that many people drive baby blue cars and 2) They probably didn't even realize they had done it!!! I can't tell you too much about the owner of the vehicle other than they are female and quite thick. Regardless, I am speechless and will be out $500- for the deductible to get it fixed. That's assuming they will fix it the right way by getting me a new quarter panel - I don't want to have to fight the insurance company on this. As for the damage to the door, I cannot expect them to give me a new door let alone a used door skin (probably difficult to find). We'll see what happens and I'll keep you posted.

One thought that immediately strikes me is does the height and shape of the scratches match that of the bumper of the Dodge?
Mind you if you live in Paris, France, this is a way of life. Bumpers are meant to be used (we nicknamed it "acoustic parking") and if you scraped someone else's car well so what. After we had our car (not the S2000 I should hasten to add) hit a couple of times I ceased worring when I hit someone. I should point out that I didn't carry this habit with me when I returned to the UK

The blue paint is hard to see because i resized the images for posting purposes. But, on my full size pics, you can clearly see the blue paint on the scratch. Also, the position of the scratches and the placement exactly matches the Dodge.
