I've been searching, but I need a pic of the underside of an authentic J's racing carbon fiber hood and the underside of a knock off. Anyone have a knock off that can show the underside pic of it?

Authentic underside pics?

Thanks guys,

Mike

why is the underside more important than the topside?

J's make 2 versions of bonnet and also several options of the underside - CFRP or FRP can be used on the underside.

here is my aero bonnet with FRP back on a CRFP top.

I'm just wondering because I have just bought a used J's hood and want to make sure it is authentic. Considering I have never seen either one(Other than what is in front of me) I don't know if this is real or not cause it has no badges or anything like that. I don't have it on my car yet so I can't say anything about fitment. Nobody could really tell me a definite way to tell yet, but someone mentioned that a fake does not have a full underside on it, so I was wanting a pic to see if there was an obvious one.

the underside of the real J's should be cf is my understanding. you should be able to see the weave. by the way it should be light as shit. compaired to knock off would be about the same weight as the stock maybe just a bit less.

if you are worried about being authentic..better to check before you buy it. Now you have it....what does it look like versus mine??

not correct about underside...

it depends on what J's built.

The aero hood comes with option of fibre glass back..as in the picture.

don't know about the weight since I have never weighed them.
