No!

I LOVE IT! I hope it becomes street legal. That car is under 2K lbs and I believe it's 190HP. Sweet!

Yeah, TimS2k has one because it is licensed for racing. They're pretty small. I would hate to get in a wreck in one. I think the only reason it is not legal is that it does not have a 5mph front bumper. I personally don't like the headlights but to each his own...

Isn't it illegal because it does not have air bags and ABS? Oh, and "it doesn't meet some of the emission and safety test" (http://www.elises.co.uk/miscellaneous/usa.html). I believe someone in the States will drop a Honda 1.8 VTEC in an Elise though, would be a step to getting a road legal one.
I See quite a few over here, and isn't that a pic of a 140 so unless it has an engine upgrade it wont be running at 190BHP. Seen one in the UK that an owner has tuned and upgraded to over 200BHP though.

More Pics

And, no that is not the Exige, pretty close though, but it is just an Elise with the motorsport body kit.

Oh, and here are some of the S2, the new one you would be more likely to get over there:

It is pretty nice, but it looks a bit like a kit car. Too bad they use those awefull engines. Imagine a Honda engine in there, maybe a Spoon variety with a 11.000 redline

I know that the elises can be ordered out of Cali from some company with the Integra Type R motor!
I think the 0-60 time was in the lo 5's with a 1/4 of ~13.XXX sec. If I find the site I'll post it. The only bummer about the "Type R" elise is the sticker is like $40k or more.

I really like Elise. Those are fun little cars. but, since my butt is pretty fat. I dunno if I will spill over or not.

I saw several Elise in Ginerman. I think they are running high 1:3x secs. I remember GTR Power running his s2000 in 1:37s. So, our car are not too far away from Elise. and, we have AC, heat, leather and stereo in our car. Not a bad deal.

You need to be a gymnast to get in and out of those cars.
They look and go very well though.
