i heard from somewhere that alot of hellaflush guys run nankangs on purpose because the sidewalls are more thick and rough/solid as oppose to smoother softer higher priced tires, which reduces the risk of frequent puncture.. correct me if i'm wrong though

Thats just common sense. I dont personally like the Op tires set up 215/40/18 on a 10", its hella stretch... I myself had a 215/40/18 on a 9.5 up front... I drove it for a while did over 12000km like this, i spiritually drove the car with other s2k, stock, track mods and i soon realized i was suffering front heavy understeer but I was still faster and had more balls than 3/4 of them so at the end I still had a blast to drive my car and learn to push it to my tires grip limit... As long you have a functional wheel combo for what you do, my 215/35/18,225/40/18 was functional for my daily driving and my late night warehouses hunting clutch kicking session so my guess is a functional wheel combo for the OP is something who doesnt rub and attract attention so a set of 17x9+45 245/40/17 RPF1 is not for him...
Sorry, but there isn't a good reason for a 215 tire to be on the rear of a car engineered to have a 245. That is personal preference crossing over into ignorance. That's so incredibly dumb I can't fathom the logic. x 48659727492457026470

Secondly, you post your car here so you will get and at the same time. That's how forums are. BUT, you spend the money, its your car, and you are happy.End of the day, that's all that matters

Thanks man, like I said all comments are welcome. I love feedback, I won't get hurt even if you say the car looks like shit. its your opinion, I love opinions lol.

Thanks to everyone else. I went with 215's to get stretch, not for handling. I don't really care about handling. The wheels won't be on the car forever

I understand but like I said I'm not tracking the car or anything. I can't run a 245, maybe a 235. I'm happy for now, I might go with wider tires next time I get tires.

"personal preference crossing over into ignorance" is spot on when it comes to many "hellaflush" setups. These guys are just clueless and hopefully learn one day.

Learn what? that I should put a bigger tire on it? I know that and don't want to do it lol. If I wanted a race car, I wouldn't have done this.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

That said, you can forget about everything else man, but one thing is for sure - THAT is NOT safe. Be careful driving on those until you change them for wider tires.

No matter what your intentions are, put a tire on that FITS. Stretched tires compromise safety for the sake of appearance (which I can't comprehend the appeal of).

So, looks ridiculous and isn't safe. Makes sense.

the car looks like shit.

It certainly does. I love the look of flushed wheels, but this is just retarded man. You didn't put any work into the car to make them fit. Get yourself some fender flares and proper tires if your gonna run low offset wheels. Why did you buy a car built soley for handling only to completely destroy the handling. This type of stuff makes me want to sell my car. Saddens me that the S is getting cheap enough for this type of crap.
