yah thats funny cause 90% of the people complaining and saying is car is ruined , probably never seen a track day of their life and probably go to mr. lube to get their oil change ! But yes your right ASIXMRSE gotta love forum ! haha I personally dont know whats worst between is car or the guy whos running 500hp in is s2000 and cant drive only once a week cause its too dangerous and sketchy when its raining or is too scare for something to break...
Cant agree more.
To each their own, do i have to start calling the haters a pricks so a mod will finally come and shut everyone up.
I come to s2ki less and less everyday because of people who just bash others when they do something they dont like. So what? They dont need to please you, its not your car.
Stop spreading the hate, golden rule, treat others like you would be treated. Its one thing to say the tires are unsafe, but to insult someone about "personal preference verging to ignorance" is rude.
Personaly i think your rear is poking out to much, but im not gunna tell you that your a dumbass for choosing that setup. Have you guys seen the hellaflush scene in Japan these days? How can you even whine about this when thats going on... And geuss what we follow them 80% of the time... Look what were driving... a Japanese car...
And while they say its dangerous running those tires, your gunna be just fine DD'ing this guy.
If you dont have anything nice to say, than dont, or GTFO - or go to Honda-tech i really dont care just stop ur trolling.
Now i will wait for people to harass me too. Keep ruining the site.
Actually, my car has seen quite a bit of time on the track. Which is why such ignorance displayed by someone running a 215 tire on the rear of a S2000 is irritating. It restricts the cars use. And it's not safe.
I am all for people making a car their own, that's fine. But when you make extreme modifications for the sake of a silly trend or look, and risk your own safety as well as the safety of others on the road, you are a jackass and should be called out on it.
And if you can't get over criticism you receive on the internet, try a google search for 'thicker skin'.

Nd what a surprise, my comment standing up for people already got a thumbs down.
I've always been a believer in retaining stock tire sizes or upgrading to wider. I believe you should never go down in tire width from what the car comes with from the factory.
This, to me, is unacceptable.
The Op keeps mentioning "Im not building a race car". None of the posters ever said you were. But it's still a performance car that comes stock with 215/245s. It's already back happy enough, so running 215s in the rear, on a 10.5 inch wide wheel, with serious stretch, essentially cuts down the contact patch even more. Don't think you're gripping on a 215, the stretch makes it more like a 195 or less, in terms of contact patch.
It's not unsafe for you and other drivers, it doesn't look good, and makes the car less stable.
If you liked the wheel, which you said you did, you could have gotten real LMs or LM reps in better sizes/offsets. You would have still have WAY more nicer/stronger/baller wheels, nice fitment without the ridiculous stretch, not to mention some worthy tires.

look how high his offset is though. lol. I'm not gonna spend 4k on wheels. I'm happy with my 600$ wheels. I just asked for opinions. I love all of em! i'm not hurt or mad.. I just can't wait to drive it haha. I might run a wider tire in the rear though. I'll stick with the 35 profile
