i like the OEM but im biased.... the oem weighs 44lbs, im pretty sure the FRP mugen weighs the same...
Let me end this argument right now.....I say Mugen.
Just imagine this car on MF10's.
As for air leak, neither of my two hardtops leaked at speed. The FRP did leak a couple of times, but some Shinu-etsu grease on the rubber seals, and a quick slight adjustment on the mounting hardware cured that.
The CF top never leaked, even at speeds around 138 mph (just tested out a month ago
).
The thing I didn't like about the OEM top that I had for about two months, was that in mounting it, once you have one side secured in the rear catch, the other side has to be pushed in to meet the catch. I didn't like the flex or the weight. Also, that piece, creaked and cracked alot on colder mornings.
With the two subsequent Mugen tops, I did NOT miss the defroster one bit. Plastic windows warm up quickly in cars that have small cabin space.
