is it made of steel?
[QUOTE=SoDakS2K,Oct 25 2004, 05:28 PM]It's called the "dim" weight, as in dimensions. You take the volume of the box (LxWxH) and divide by 250. That is the dim weight. It is used for oversized packages so shipping companies can rape you on charges.
And why is this thread under "the gallery?"

Has anyone seen one of these shipping boxes that Honda sends these parts in? I got the rear wing from Hardtopguy. The cardboard used in these boxes is NOT like your average cardboard box. It's really thick and sturdy. If I were to do a "guesstimate" on the weight of things, I'd say the front bumper and lip weighed about 20 to 25 lbs. I think if you were weigh the whole thing as it arrives at your door, you'll be within 5 lbs of the stated weight.
The rear wing is not that big but the box it came in was MUCH larger than the wing. Imagine the box for a front bumper and lip. And will it even come in ONE box or two boxes taped together?
