It is functional! Saw its design and install in person. Looks very ferrariesque. Directs air directly into the stock airbox with a minor tweak. Comes in Carbon Fibre or fiberglass. Great work Mastergrade.

This is a truly humbling comment. All your life...everything you've seen...and this newly-designed aftermarket hood is the "nastiest thing" you've ever seen. Wow! Excellent first day on www.s2ki.com. Can't wait for your comments on Day 2 of these boards.

Agreed, wholeheartedly! But, I mean, once we move into "nastiest thing"...well now I'm invisioning dog crap smeared across a neighbor's screen door, or hell, I dunno, maybe a teenager with an extremely bad case of puss-filled acne... Now, since those images are nasty, I'm thinking, "Gosh?...Does MasterGrade's new prototyped hood look worse than these images?"
Sorry, I just always get a case of the ass when I see folks post (granted, what I believe to be) inconsiderate comments. Sorry for taking up time on my soapbox. Again, you're correct, he is entitled to his own opinions...
It's interesting to see this type of hood design on the S2000. Not something I'd be interested in, but hey, my father told me once, "There's an ass for every seat."
Well done!!! I think it looks amazing. I think that angle doesn't do it justice though. Lowering the car with a front spoiler will be the icing on the cake. Looks very agressive and has the added benefit of cooler air.
Russ, the other design mentioned has the vents just behind radiator. The vents are designed to "relieve" the engine bay of hot air. Some designs also add the benefit of downforce, Js racing for example
