I saw one of these last weekend, and I have to say the quality is top notch.

Fun to see all the details gone in to this.
But I work as an auto body repairer, and the picture of the chrome tow hook cover makes the hair stand on my arms!
That surface finish has a lot of work before it gets close to painting. A new plastic bumper is so perfect that it does not need any work before painting, that finish needs many hours of bodywork to become any close to oem finish.
Compared to most of the fiberglas junk out there it not so bad, but anyway, that is an expenicive bumper.

Time to get your car wrapped. .. If you need referral , let me know.

Btw: how does the Mugen quality compare to other authentic body parts you've had?

Yes i was surprised to find the light cracking on the gel coat. I did all the body work myself and no it didn't need A LOT of work, it was very minimal. I just took a few different grit sand papers to it and the cracking was gone, not much elbow grease at all. Comparing this to a new OEM urethane bumper that is already prepped from the factory is a bit much... You can't even compare costs considering the materials and methods used for manufacturing, not to mention the volume that the OEM can amortize over.

Thanks dude! i actually painted everything already. I would still like to do a pearl white someday though...hmmm..

Funny you ask about comparing to other authentics. Mugen doesn't quite match up to ASM surprisingly! The Mugen fit and finish i'd say was 9 out of 10. While the ASM stuff was 10/10 no joke.

impressive, but someone please explain to me how this carbon fiber/expensive hardware ladened work of art is only $2300, when the wing is $1700 for a 'chunk of fiberglass with carbon endplates'- something is up
