The AP2 did have a marginal win...but it doesn't seem as powerful as you said...

OK, you guys win, it's not worth my time or effort to tell you facts you won't face. Good Luck and it is a damn nice S2000 you've bought. That exhaust is awesome, one of the best. I like the red emblems on BB as well.
FWIW, I've owner 1 BB AP1, and I'm on my second GPW AP2. I've had S2000's for over 5 years now, excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge.

No, what it is, is that in japan they only made the ap1(f20) motor for the s2000, even now(08) it has the f20c. They find the f20 to be the better motor for them. This also goes on in Europe and pretty much everywhere beside US. It is still a ap2 chassis, just has the ap1 motor.
Btw, congrats on the car. It's got the best exhaust out there

Two weeks ago we went out with 20 VTECs...
I've owned both F20c and F22c on the AP2 suspension.
I cannot say which one is definitely better than the other. There are reasons to like one over the other ... and it really is person preference
Anyway, that is undeniably a AP1. Honda has decided to associate the chassis code with the engine, instead of everything else. In essence, that is an AP2 with AP1 engine (but with AP2 valve springs), AP1 flywheel, and AP1 gearing (yet has stronger synchros and CDV).
Why do I know? Cuz I own one as well
