If that's the case then please de stroke your engine get more revs and make less HP and torque, you'll beat every S2000 no doubt. Good luck finding a 1.9L or 1.2L stroker kit for the S2000 because no one makes one. I wonder why?

I have heard ppl say that the 2.0 motor is a better one than the 2.2, which is why car tuners such as J's Racing revised their engine to 2.2 based on the F20C engine.
The reason J's Racing did that is because their car started life as an AP1 with an F20C but they knew .2L more would be better so they did it themselves before the F22C was even introduced. And to further negate your theory, the AP1 and AP2 heads are nearly identical so it's not a superior head design nor motor.

Nice. Are red badges/center caps OEM in Japan? They look good on black.

But if you check out clips of J's Racing's s2k (they have so many), you can see that the s2k's range from MY99/00 all the way up to MY04 facelifted version. They still chose to use the 2.0 engine as base when the 2.2 was out in the market already.

Ok, instead of arguing to me that the F20C is a better motor even when J's Racing stroked it to an F22C like Honda themselves did (which is a stupid arguement) why don't you find me the differences between the F20C vs. F22C that prove your point. They are virtually the same engine the F22C just has a longer stroke but you won't take my word for it I guess. BTW, they were still using the F20C as a base in your time frame of MY99-MY04 because they still came with the F20C in Japan for those years!!

The whole F20C vs F22C debate is SOLELY based on personal preference. Some people, such as myself, enjoy having the extra 1000 rpms to play with even if we don't have an extra 10 ft/lbs of torque. Others, such as yourself, like to have the extra torque. I've never thought my AP1 was lacking in torque, and to tell you the truth I probably wouldn't notice the extra 10 tq daily driving anyways. Theres been debates in many threads on this board that Honda changed over to the F22C and reduced the redline due to design differences that make it less likely to overrev and damage something, but nobody has actually been able to prove that.

Got no opinion on which motor is better man. Chill out.

There's no point finding you the differences between the two engines. A little more torque and that's it but you won't take my word for it I guess. Was just commenting on something I heard.
