Did you know that Rota make a lot of OEM rims for many automotive manufacturers?! Yeah... think about that for a while...

I've used Slipstreams for a few years now on my race car and I haven't had to replace one yet. Some of the other Rota models might not be strong but the Slipstreams are and anyone who says different is ignorant.

I agree, lots of ignorant posts in here.

Forged wheels are stronger than cast. There's no arguing that point. Rota's are not as strong as a forged wheel, it's as simple as that.
It's not just as simple as that. Forged metal is stronger than cast for a given amount of material. That means that when a wheel is designed to meet industry requirements for a given load rating, if it is forged then less material can be used than if it is cast.

That is why forged wheels are generally lighter than cast wheels -- they are designed to the same strength, so the cast wheels weigh more.

yep!
There are plenty of people that drive around with OEM wheels, which are cast, with no problems, so what is the difference?

why? because other people said they didnt look good?who gives a rat's ass what everyone else thinks about your car?

if its for the fitment issues i dont get it either. i have em with factory front/rear tire sizes and i cant get the rears to break loose unless i really try. seem to work fine to me. maybe ill find out otherwise when i go to a local track day.

just because someone doesnt want to or cant afford to spend a ton of cash on wheels doesnt make them crap. the rotas are great wheels for the money. its not like you went out and bought a set of apc euro tails or something. people love to bash on anything that isnt "jdm" or overly expensive. just look at the folks who pay for a set of j's gears(what? kia? no these are j's...)

they weigh less than my stocks.i like the way my wheels look.they handle fine for the little bit of spirited driving i do. works for me. only thing i dont like is the fact that i was too impatient to wait for black, but the bronze is growing on me.

The Slips look great!!!

If I could afford Volks, Advan, etc...I would not have an Integra. I would have my S2000 now, instead of waiting until I can swing it financially.

I love my Rotas.

Im buying rotas for my RX7 racecar..and I have absolutely no reservations about this..I think they look great and perform great. All the reviews from racers Ive gotten have been nothing but positive. If this whole group idea goes through Ill be the first to pick up a set for my S2k.

When I read the title of the thread, I thought to my self, "oh no, not another set of black shitstreams." but when I clicked and saw them in silver they looked great!

I'm at 65,000 daily driven miles (and counting) on Rota Sub Zeros and have not had any problems. I have had wheels fail on me, but not Rotas. And that is living in NJ where the temp fluctuates and our roads open up with potholes in the spring.
