There's a reason for this...

Why put free wheels on a car when all it takes is a stiff wind to make them crumble into little bits?

Did you ever stop to ask yourself why Rota can manage to make a 14lb wheel and sell it for less than $100 while the REAL wheel companies struggle to make a wheel that light at any price? Because the REAL companies actually try to make their wheels durable and SAFE.

Good luck with those things. I hope your poor S2000 doesn't become another victim before you come to your senses and put the stock wheels back on
I have no idea what your talking about. The Rota's are just as durable then OEM wheels. I've had a set on my EK for about 2 years w/ Tein's on almost there stiffest settings and hit potholes the size of manhole covers. They keep on truckin'!!! Yes, they are light and they are cheap. Have you ever heard of people paying $$$ just for the name. I think those wheels look good. Freak accidents happen, I've even seen the real Spoon wheels SW388's get damage from "spirted driving."

i think they look great. i would consider those if i needed an additional set of 16's for the track or something.

One thing you might consider is to put some spacers in the rear. That way it'll push the wheel out a few millimeters to be more in line with the rear fender. Probably mostly cosmetic, but it'd be a cheap fix.

This post is full of haters. There's nothing wrong with rotas. So they're not JDM so what they look tight!

I dont know if these rims are good quality, but I really like the fact that they weight only 14lbs.

I have had 5 sets of Rota on my previous cars and never had a problem. If you look into the construction and testing Rota puts their wheels though you might change your tune about thier quality. I have also sold 20+ sets of Rota wheels and never recieved a complaint or anything but positive comments. I personally don't mind them at all and if they offered the proper stagered sizes I would be all over them.

I know that I would receive flames posting my car, hence the "oh the humanity!!" in the post title.

I know the wheels aren't too flashy, too crazy JDM, etc but I like 'em myself. I might through some spacers on the back just to push the rears out more, like it was mentioned.

I think that most of the people's attitudes regarding Rotas on this sight is not due to personal experience, but rather what other people say. If Rota wheels "spontaneously combusted" or "crumbled," then no matter how cheap they were, word would spread and people would stop buying them.

People like to rant and rave about how bad of quality they are, when I have yet to have an issue nor see an issue with anybody else's set. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
