My AP1, simple minded
My name is kyle and I have been sort of a lurker on this site, not posting much but spying on others and getting inspiration from their builds. I just thought I'd give you guys a look at my little riceburner.
A little back ground on my car, I bought the car 2 years ago, all stock with a negligible set of wheels, 2001 with 68XXX miles. Clean paint and well taken care of by a high school kid and his father, they sold it because it just sat and was rarely driven. I always wanted the AP1 just because it's a bit rawer then it's younger sibling and I feel that that AP1's are getting rarer and rarer as most of the s2k's I see are AP2's or AP2 converted AP1's.
The car currently has 106XXX miles and is my daily driver for work and school.
With the mods I added, I tried to stay classy and avoid hindering the performance of the car as a whole. It currently has Enkei NT03 +M wheels in 18x9.5 +40 all around (one of my all time favorite wheels for the S2k chasis), AEM V2, Invidia 70mm test pipe, Invidia Q300 dual, Megan coilovers, rep Mugen hardtop, and other various things.
I now feel as if I have come to a good resting point with the car's modifications. I have some things that I want, but for now I am happy the way it sits, drives and handles on backroads. Don't mind the Low^Function banner, it's a car group that I belong to and basically we are all brothers. you can visit Low^function Crew here https://www.facebook.com/LowFunction?ref_type=bookmark
Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

I like the mods on your BB AP1. Aftermarket parts but overall it looks very clean.
I agree with you on that the AP1 is getting more rare because it is more affordable than the AP2 and it has been around longer, which means the younger generation could get a hold of it (and ricing and crashing it of course). A low mileage AP1 that holds a clean title is a rare occurrence these days. Mine is an GPW and it's about to hit 68k...it's my baby!
The original is always the best...and oh the CR too!

The original is always the best...and oh the CR too!thanks Kevin, I went with the OEM look for about 6 months and I couldn't handle it any longer lol. Maybe one day I'll buy another and keep it stock.
You are right about the AP1, since they are now more affordable younger kids are buyinh them and crashing them. I'm 25 and feel as if I can be responsible enough to keep this car to give to my children on day. I saw a Suzuka blue AP1 with 21XXX miles for sale in my area the other day for $20,000. It's rare but they do pop up from time to time haha.
You are right about original parts, I still have all of them, haha.
