As is the case with every bolt on for the S2000. I love my car but even I will tell you that the $1500 exhaust I want from Mugen isn't going to make it significantly faster. The only reason I want it is for a more agressive sound.

Anyway, you intake looks pretty sweet man! But I'm not diggin' the exhaust either.

If you want more agressive sound, the Mugen is not the exhaust you want. It is actually quieter at idle. Go with the comptech for the same price, looks better IMO, and has some proven gains.

I just don't understand people's fascination with an open filter intake in a hot engine bay. It's like having a really more expensive short ram intake. Worst performance for your money. To each his own, I guess?
I don't understand the facination with stickers going down the side of the car.
Rev, your car would much nicer without the stickers. The intake is nice bling, but that's about it. BTW, the increased throttle response you're feeling is the ECU playing aroung with the A:F. You'll get the same effect unplugging the ECU fuse and reseting the ECU. But, it looks nice at least.

the sticker is a japanese thing
I guess I do fit in the stereotype. btw, I am half japanese, well, I guess u all have a point. my car might look better without them.
when u say unplug the ecu fuse, it will reset itself, but it will reset itself according to the flow rate of the intake system, right?
intake war is fun I like my arc, besides it's not a direct bolt-on.
turbo pwr, I can't remembered, but aren't u the guy with ITB setup?

Turbopwr is correct. IMO you would be just as good with your OEM intake, minus the top. It is one of the worst intakes out on the market right now. I would lose the decals and the intake. If you want JDM bling and dont want to spend to much go with the Spoon airduct with the filter. If you want minimal gains ( I do mean minimal) try the J's or Mugen CAI. Good luck..

Please don't tell me you want to compare my ITB set-up to your ARC intake.

One I have a vented hood and additional cooling mods.
Two, I'm using the mugen intake to route cold air straight to the ITBs.
Three, unlike ARC, I've actually have done dyno testing.

hee hee, no, I ain't that stupid. I at least know that much physics. peace.
But b4 I see actual air flow simualtion on both the mugen and arc, I'll hold on to what I believe.
btw, fo sure u'll see dyno result from ITB, it's whole different kinda air intake method.
why u wanna route air into the itb from the mugen again? wouldn't that create turbulance inside the manifold? could use some info on how u mod ur head. I am installing my cams, cam gears and spings this weekend.
