Default My first night at the track

I went to a drag event at Atlanta Motor Speedway last night. It was an 1/8th mile single elimination. No times were given, you just raced someone and if you won you advanced if you lose you go to the parking lot. My buddy, who also has a turbo S, and I lined up in the back of the line right next to eachother. We didn't want to eliminate eachother so we asked the S2k w/ intake and exhaust in front of us if he didn't mind switching w/ one of us. Lucky me, I got the blown Supra. My buddy romped the NA S2k, and I lost to the Supra. Having never launched my car, I was slow off the line, but I caught up once we started going. I lost by a matter of inches and had it been a quarter mile, I woulda won. This race was on my low boost setting running 370 whp.
I have a practice run too, but I haven't uploaded it yet.

I think the only way to go with the rear end is the Inline Pro conversion or the Difftechnics conversion. If you reinforce the diff, the axles break. You have to make everything stronger I think. Not just the clutch or diff.

Hmm i had no idea InlinePro made such a product! I shall check it out.

Edit: 3000 dollars and they dont even give you the diff? Is a Comptech reinforced really that bad?

That price is a lil crazy, but that's less than it would cost to do something comparable on your own. The reinforced diff, I believe, is just a stock diff housing with reinforced bolts. Dunno tho.
