I would file a theft claim. That way it wouldn't raise your premiums as much as this is going to. I think this counts against you as if you totaled it. You're going to wind up paying thousands more over the next three years. It's like he robbed you if you didn't give him permission to drive it.

glad he is OK. your friend is a focking moron. i would not be friends with some one who took out my car for a joy ride while i was passed out. what a focking assh0le. not only does he go out and drive wrecklessly with your car, but he dirnks as well and totals.
if one of my friends ever did that (none of them are that retarded) he would most likely no longer be my friend. i know it is a material possession, but that is not what i would be pissed about. he went behind my back and destroyed one of my most beloved possessions.

edit: saw your post where u said he was not your friend. GOOD!!!
now go kick his ass sea bass

not to get into detail's but his dad was my dad's lawyer, and my family was trying to be nice and keep him from jail by not pushing charges. lucky him right? So insurance just paid for the whole thing and we all went out separate ways. His father lost A LOT of money by becoming a backstabber against his best client and his son lost a lot of friends.

and i dunno how u can say it could be worse... the motor and transmission were split in half ... forcefully, and the front passenger rim was torn clean off. looks as if someone took a saw and just cut it off. Not to mention the unlucky tree he hit ... lets just say its about half as tall now..

Holy $hit!!
I can't believe that no one was hurt in that wreck!
Dude, if I were you, no matter what who his daddy is, I would sue the $hit out of him for sure.
Good luck w/ your new purchase!

Dan
