did you have to cut or remove the rear tray under where the roof folds onto?
where does it bolt onto under that?

Take a look at this installation guide here: Cusco 5 Point Installation Guide
That's what I was using to install mine, so credit goes to Chris_Lum for taking the time to make such a good guide.
It's pretty straight forward, but it's good to know where everything is before you start doing it.
To the OP, Looks great, good call on going roll bar > cage.
To those who run a cage in a street car where your aren't wearing a helmet, your an idiot. The car is safer without the roll cage. Do research before you start buying "race only" parts. I love how stupid JDM fan boi's can be. Race parts on street and show cars are the new craze, man I miss euro tails and street glow kits.

Hmm, non of those are linked to fatal head injury, so I'd say they get the pass, but no, I don't run any of them right now, have in the past though.
You're missing the whole point, which I understand. A roll cage's purpose is to provide safety for a race car. It provides dangers for a street car. A test pipe, exhaust, and wheel spacers aren't going to kill me. Did you really decide to buy your bright blue piece of safety equipment for the added safety? If you did then you don't understand what it was designed for. Seems you probably bought it for the bling/JDM fan boi purpose which in turn, makes you a ricer, buying purpose built parts for form over function... = rice.

6 points are 100% not safe, especially without harnesses attached to a harness bar. The seatbelt isn't going to hold you well enough to prevent hitting your head on the bar in the event a rollover happens.
To the OP...looks good.

But hey, I'm sure there are more people that will side with you on this forum these days then me, so my opinion or concern for a fellow S2000 drivers safety will be thrown to the way side. That's fine, look at the bright side, my taxes will soon pay for your health care per Obama after your head injury. Good Luck, and I love the wheels, 9" +45's are money.

You guys might want to ask around in the South Carolina or Virgina boards. I believe that they were able to get the Safety 21 bar approved by their local chapter for use on ViR (stock roll hoops are not sufficient). Its done in the same manner any roll bar or cage is tested. They drill small holes in it to test the wall thickness of the metal.
I still would not remove the stock roll hoops though.

Also, to the OP, nice rollbar... none of the criticism was directed towards you. I think that everyone believes that its in the best interest of the driver's safety to bring up potential issues with running a cage on the street so I apologize for the clutter in your thread. With that said, I would still run padding over any rollbar in my street driven car. I didn't with my first s2k, but I will for sure this time around.
