I didn't even read your post. Don't waste your time assuming that anyone cares about or obsesses over your opinion. And I say that with all respect not negativity. The thing that this community has lost over the years is users that don't look at every car they see and immediately start picking it apart and talk about the things they would change if it was their car. It has lost users that appreciate things for what they are, and when asked for their opinion they give it, they just don't assume that their opinion is requested..

That's the beauty of an anonymous internet message board, no? Of course people don't care about my opinion, much like nobody cares about yours. But this "open exchange of ideas" is a farce, a sham. Nobody wants to hear anybody else's opinion unless it agree with the herd mentality, or their own. Nothing you can say will refute that fact, for proof, just look at any "build" thread or thread in the gallery. If someone doesn't go with the flow, they are immediately labeled as a hater, pot stirrer (which by the way denotes even more of the lemming mentality here), or outcast. You yourself are doing it right now, by your post saying my opinion isn't requested. Why? Because people don't want to hear the negative, they just want to hear "good job, even though you ruined a nice car, good job". It is one thing to appreciate something for what is, another thing entirely to outright despise it. Tell me, if opinions from other people aren't wanted, then what is the purpose of this site?

The purpose of this site is to be a resource of discussion and to share FACTUAL information with one another. Just because someone posts up photos of their car doesn't mean they are asking, "Here is my car, tell me about all the things you would do with the car if it was your own." If you go to a car show do you walk up to the car owners and tell them everything that you would do differently? What would be the purpose of that? I agree that it is good to have an opinion, it is just a mistake to think that your opinion is more valid than any others, whether it is positive or negative. There are plenty of things about this car that I would do differently myself, but that is why I have my own S2000 to enjoy. I am not telling you that you are right or wrong, I am just telling you that you are wasting your time and now I am wasting mine.

Anonymity on the Internet mostly just makes people douchebags actually.

And this is where your problem seems to lie. Because someone posts an opinion does not necessitate the idea that it's what they would do were the car yours. The site does seem to be a wealth of information and ideas, the key words being INFORMATION and IDEAS. Whether my opinion is well received or not, anybody who posts pictures of their car is either looking for ideas, praise/kudos, or opinions. There's no real gray area there, if they didn't want to share it with the world, then they wouldn't put it up for the world to see. The logic behind that is as irrefutable as basic addition. Stop being hung up on my opinion. It is just in fact that, an opinion.

By the way, the parting shot was unnecessary. Using a term like that in reply to my post serves only to shown what you think of me, but choose not to outright say it. If you have an issue with me, come out and say it. Plenty have, and plenty do.

I'm a little old school so my netiquette might not be up to par, but I'm almost certain if you make a thread in the gallery section or post your car in the gallery section, my or ours (board as a whole) opinion was indeed requested

I don't mean to carry this thread further off course, but I'm baffled at what are you getting at really? I mean I didn't see any spiteful posts, and you left your opinion which was that it was awesome...and we left ours, which is that it wasn't, and I think we merely took the courtesy to inform the owner why...not that he necessarily needs to go and do these things, just so he understands where we're coming from, completely civilized exchange of information

If you really think engaging in opinions or critiques on a forum/gallery posts is out of order, I recommend trying instagram

Charles, is it really that hard to look at a car you dont like, say to yourself that you dont like it, and exit the thread wtihout voicing some negative bullshit? I single you out because we've talked about this before and you seem to think it's imporant to give your negative feedback in (nearly) every thread that doesnt involve a stock s2000.
Wrong, Kevin. I (greatly) dislike hellaflush cars, the movement, all of it. We've had that talk before, and it is my personal preference. Like I've said in this thread before, these are opinions. Such is the benefit of an open forum, where people exchange ideas; both positive and negative. It is apparent here (and you solidify my point with this post) that noone wants to hear anyone's negative opinion. Life isn't all positive, and I'm not here to stroke people's ego. If I don't like something, I'll mention it, usually in a nice, if blunt way. If I do, it's the same.

Sometimes it seems like high school around here sometimes with the level of following the "cool kids" and their high dollar parts. Be real. Is it really that hard to do here? Or would you rather follow the crowd? Having your own opinion is not expected, only blind compliance.

OP, I do apologize for this thread getting off-topic like this.

1 inch lower, no stickers and maybe a different colour, would make it even better looking imo.
Nice job!
