Default need some advice on speedlite flashes

posted a topic a while back about which camera i should get. and i know the 20d is in certain aspects better, but im perfectly fine with the rebel xt, plus im a noob at this. gotta 4 year warranty on it, including cleaning and repair, and a possible free upgrade if a new model comes out. so anyway, here are just some pictures i took to test it out. feel free to comment..

more to come later on.

not bad, learn to shoot in manual mode it makes the world of difference. And make sure you get a good tripod! other than that good choice of camera especially for starting out

Nice.
How much did you pay? Did you get the lens kit one?
I got a 2 lens kit Nikon D50 a few months back and just been loving it.
Not that I am any good in photography but I just love DSLR.
I really like your #4 and 6 pics. Nice use of manual focus.

White balance is a little off; you can use the custom white balance to fix these, though. I prefer using a grey card but if you know what type of bulb is used, you can go with the kelvin temp. You can also use the kelvin temp function to get some unique effects on certain types of photos.
