i am on my third s2000 and whether you like it or not they didn't get worse over time only better. take a new s2000 and put re01, re11's or re070's on it, lower the suspension, intake and exhaust (mild mods) and in my opinion you have perfection. my ap1 needed wheels, tires, interior updates gears, supercharger, exhaust, suspension and more and still was not as good as my 08.
the first part well said, but not so sure about this one.
you "lowered the suspension on your ap2" which im guessing springs and changed tires/intake exhaust and you think it was better than an AP1 with wheels, tires, interior updates gears, supercharger, exhaust, suspension ?
i think your the one BSing here.
you can buy an 00, upgrade the whole body interior and exterior (to ap2) and even sell your F20 and buy an F22 and STILL have left over $$$ .
jhooby,
I didn't post my experience to start an arguement. people were starting to state how the op should have just bought wheels or look what a waste of money.
To your point
So you can buy a 00-03 for 13K with 80-100K miles
add volk ce 28's or ap2 takoff wheels and tires for somewhere between 1 (for takes offs) to -3K (to get volks the 17" tires that come on 09 (or 04 or newer aps)
add ap2 tranny (for the better gearing and to get some torque) for another 1.5K plus 500 for install
Add ap2 f22 engine for improved torque (for another 4-6K)
add ap2 rear subframe for reduced bumpster 1K
and you now have a 22K +- ap1 that still has 75K plus miles, doesn't have thw 1.5K ap2 headlights and ballasts, the 300.00 rear tailights, the ap2 rear bumper, front bumper. the ap2 improved locks and keys, Has worn seats and carpets and steering wheel and wear on the paint body etc, plus your time and engery to aquire the above parts
you still don't have the following
VSA- which you will never get
TCS which you will never get
TPMS which you will never get unless aftermarket
warranty- which you say you don't care about, but is worth somthing to most people otherwise car companies wouldn't offer them
the fact the car is 6-9 model years newer, which you don't care about, but is worth something..
you will reply back that you prefer the low torque 9k rpm engine and that you think VSA is for wusses.
All i can tell you is i'm on my third s2000 (2 ap1's ) and my 08 ap2. I modified my ap1 by adding the following parts
-bilstein pss9
-j's racing 4.44 gears
-amuse exhaust
-17 inch wheels with re050s
-comptech supercharger with 7lbs boost
- test pipe
-more
i bought a brand new 08 s2000 and did the following
-bilstein pss9
-intake
-amuse exhaust
-stock wheels with re070 tires
AND yes i'm serious the ap2 is a better driving experiance, at first I didn't like vsa becuase i thought it came in too early, however with sticky tires the reduced bumpsteer and vsa really makes the ap2 come alive.
i see your in the 310.. if you want and i'm serious we can go to the infield coarse at fontana and compare our cars and then i think you will understand that the new s2000 has you beat both value and performance wise.
i only went down this path becuase of the other posters disrespect for the original poster who simply was posting pics of his new s2000, but people had to say how he "should have just changed wheels" or look how much money he wasted. all people should have said is your new black car looks nice... regardless i think i have made my point and you have made yours.

Just the layout of the temp and gas gauge. I think there is also a green light the lights when you are in vtec. I have yet to see that yet (doesn't seem real useful tho).
