Well i think that hes doing a very nice job there, cause most of the S2000 i see are running rims with no lip at all, it just doesnt look agressive at all, i like this wheel, it is different from all the other rims a saw and the lip is very very nice, there is absolutely no problem running a stretched tire as far as you dont exagerate, i was a VW freak before and i had stretched tires on a 16 Inch Porsche wheel, i can assure you all that it was looking really good and no problems with stability!

Please leave the idea of mounting flat rims with no offset at all and to put tractor tires on them, its soo much nicer to see the edge of the rim when you look at the car from the rear.

Please post us some pics with tires mounted.

Excuse me if my english wasnt perfect cause i am from Belgium-Europe.
Spell check wast working over here.
well said
Now for all the people members that say it looks dumb or that it's crazy to do that than hey thats fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion which is perfectly fine. I do have one question though. Can anyone tell me what is the MAIN reason why drifters stretch their tires? Besides the "aggresive (my opinion)" look.
I'm Pretty sure "dickfrombrussels", Xclusive autosports", "jsAP1", and especially "rijowysock" will know the answer.

Extremely stiff sidewall...

Being able to tuck the rear, so it can be slung around without body roll...

LESS traction, for easier tossability...

i.e. things you don't need on the street.
Well answered, if drifters were to roll with the tires that go all the way out to the lip of the rim than there is a risk that they will pop off going sideways. A buddy of mine that just came back from overseas can attest for that . To all their own.

Good luck to you on that. I was one who went with something not suggested for my wheels on my AP1. I ran 18x8.5 (225/40) and 18x10 with 265/35 with a 48 offset all the way around, and loved it. It did rub occasionally, but it was worth it to stand out a bit. Check it out in my signature. Just dial in that negative camber in the rear and you will be fine.

PS- I had about a three inch lip in the back. I get tired of not seeing any S2ks with lips.
