i agree with you my friend owns a 135i and i was like wdf twin turbo 300 hp only wow fail...untill he was ok come with me...so we went out ona ride to get his reflash piggy back...it was costly at about 800 bucks but holy crap........what a difference.deff need a piggyback in any new bmw...the power they give you but dont let you unleash it until you want to i was like droooooool

 

Honestly, the guy with the Z4 wouldn't care. I would really hope somebody with a Turbo S could beat my completely stock car. You can't start the whole well my modded car vs stock car crap up. That argument is very tired and holds no validity. That's like me saying I can't wait to see the look on your face when all I do is chip my car and you're like WTF I just lost to this heavy pig. Really who cares, there will always be someone faster, especially when you bring into play the whole aftermarket into it. I loved my S2k, it was a phenomenal car and very fun to drive. But let's be real here, the S is nearly 10 years old, it's outperformed by a lot of cars these days stock to stock. I would still own another one though, it's just a great car.

Oh yeah, the Supra stock was only 320hp (another inline 6 TT car), sooooo we all know what the 2JZ is capable of because it was bottled up so much from the factory. Part of the reason BMW didn't put too much power into this car from the factory is because they don't want it to infringe on the M series market. It is all about business and marketing cars. I spend $900 on a Vishnu V3 and I get roughly 375whp and 400+ ft lbs of torque. I think that's a pretty good deal.

 

 

Umm yea I think the guy would care when i put a beating down on his shiny new bmw with my $15K ten year old s2k. But then again maybe he wouldnt care because his interior is soo nice, but not likley.

 

There are people with $5k 240sx's that are 15 years old that would put a beat down on your S2k, do you give a shit? Probably not. There will always be someone faster. Get over it buddy.

 

BMW is coming out with guns blazing with new car designs! Today I saw the X6 for the first time and, man, it was a beauty! The picture below does not do it justice. It was stunning in person.

 

So your saying that not only is the new z4 slower than my car, it is also slower than a 15 year old 240Sx, and cost 6 times as much. Wow that sounds like a car I must have .
