How else COULD you mean this, but rude?
I was wondering the same thing when I read that.

That's like saying, "I don't mean to be insensitive to your eating disorder, but damn you're freaking fat!"

No no. You want to hear spoiled. There was this kid back in my high school (good 10 years ago now). I was a senior and he was a sophomore. On his bday, his dad bought him a brand spanking new 911 Turbo. Didn't have a license. Didn't know how to drive stick. And he couldn't even name more than 3 states on a US geography test. No joke.

By the way....be safe and enjoy. And since your still a kid.....try to be mature about owning a car like this. Don't go flashing your car around like your the king of the neighborhood. It always comes around to bite you on the @ss.
Even though I shouldn't really be talking about spoiled, as I got my s2k at 17, there was a sophomore at my high school that got an sl 500 when he was 15. Over the first year he got his liscense he got his parents to put a 10 grand sound system in it, and he totalled it twice. Both times they fixed it up. Then for his 17th birthday I guess they thought he was more mature, so they bought him a brand new e55. He already totalled it once, and his parents fixed it right back up, no questions asked. Worst of all, the kid is a complete cokehead, and his parents know it. When will they learn

Sorry about being OT

Man my first car was a 1985 Nissan Pickup. Mind you that I'm 18 now and I turn 19 on the 23rd. I bought my 1995 DC2 for $5,500 dollars by myself in February. I think its better to earn your way, more sense of accomplishment. My friend whos 22 still has to worry about what his parents say when he does stuff to his car. However, more power to you. You seem like a responsible kid, just don't try to show off it's not worth it.

please DO NOT STREET RACE WITH THIS CAR. dont even go into the "street encounters" area. be safe, and realize what you have been given. dont take it for granted. hand wash it, every 2 days. only use 92+ octane. i saved for 5 YEARS to enjoy the car i wanted since i saw it on the cover of motor trend in 98'. the title said "vette threat.....believe it!" i will never forget that day. i dont mean to sound all boring and whatnot, but you have to realize......the S2000 is my dream car, and now i own one. please, please, please prove to everyone one that your not a dumbass and wrap the car around a tree/poll. enjoy! nice car! BE SAFE!

I dont understand what kind of scholarship you can receive as a sophmore in hs? Do you mean private hs? or college? are you then next lebron james or something?

When I was a senior in hs, I was just pushing a 94 accord ex. Two guys in my highschool was pushing brand new nsx's. Thats when I use to live in lexington, KY for a hot 3 months. And it was worse when I went back to NJ. Everyone had bmw's and mercedes, it was the norm. I guess its just a matter of demographics.
