can't wait to see it with the bumper and then also when you get the new wheels. Are you going to eventually try to get the lip for the bumper too?

I ended up deciding to keep my HT and I think I'm going to be picking up a few legit parts soon myself to complete a look I wish I had done on my first s2k. I finally just let myself see the truth that my car probably won't be a track car anytime soon so I might as well make it an awesome street car!

since ive had the sub in the trunk i have been dealing with my rear tray rattling ALOT, so i decided to finally do something about it. i took out the rear panel and cut large holes in it, then covered the tray with dynamat. i then glued some fabric on to make it look OEM, glad i wont have to deal with any rattles anymore.
i had the same issue after my 10w3v3 was installed. it sounded like someone was in my trunk punching the hell out of my soft top tray. i tried wedging the jack between the fuel tank and tray and cranking it a bit, but ended up just taking out the whole damn thing.

i've been meaning to find a "cleaner" way of doing it (like your approach) but most of the time i just forget the tray's not even there. it sounds A LOT better, but now i have to deal with the sound of the trunk lid rattling. giving the trunk stoppers a few turns counter-clockwise helped a little, but haven't eliminated the problem. at least its not as noticeable at freeway speeds.

on a separate note, how do you like the Type R? is that an 8 inch? i was debating between JL and Alpine for the longest time but finally decided on the 10w3v3 and am very happy.

No volks yet but hopefully at some point I'll be able to get another set on the car. This last purchase will probably be the last thing for a while. Fiance and I just got a contract on a house ratified so now it's home inspection and if that goes well we tentatively close at the end of the month. There are a bunch of things I want for the house so the car will take a back seat for a while. Luckily it a nice warm home though

I'd ultimately like to get my hands on another set of 17x9 +40 CE28s. If not those then maybe TE37s or RE30s in the same size.
