Nice camera does not mean nice photos. It's this misconception that's devalued the photography industry as a whole.
It takes much practice to perfect the composition, lighting and give each image a mood to make it compelling.

If you want to pursue it please do your research and experiment, invest in a tripod to lock the camera down to give you repeatable composition with different camera settings. Most print worthy automotive photos are long exposure with either a rig to capture motion, or some kind of light painting.
All the techniques are out there online just google it to learn!
