Front 17x8 45+ (spoon caliper/ the gap between caliper and the rim was pretty close.) 3mm or 5mm spacer is an option but I think it's good to have some more clearance.
Rear 17x9 45+












As you can see on the picture there is no spacer.

 

I assume the combo didn't fit w/o the 5mm spacer, correct?

YES !! YES !! YES!!! 17x8 45+ clears the Spoon caliper without spacer no problem BUT pretty close. Actually, this picture is taken without spacer. As you can see, it's pretty close.
I just put 5mm spacer because my buddy just gave to me for $0.
