I would say it gives you a little extra grip @ speed. It doesn't really do anything for straight line stability as far as I can tell. I think the 255 looks really good on the 9 wide rear though, and it's easy as hell to fit.

how much are you lowered? fender work? - camber?
i wouldn't like running much if any - camber, kinda like even tire wear..

I got my wheels from oakos automotive in sterling heights, MI 48314 for anyone interested and I believe they have some left in stock. Great service and excellent communication.

now I need some help.

I bought the normal 17x8 and 17x9 +45
And my tires are dunlop star specs in 225/45/17 and 255/40/17
Also I'm lowering the car on stock shocks and espelir springs

So I got the wheels but I hate how the fronts look. How hard would it be to fit the 17x9 +45 and 17x9.5 +38 ?
How much camber would I have to run ?
What would have to be done to the fenders ? will the normal roll and tab removal do ?
Please help me out because right now I have the option of returning the 17x8 and getting the 17x9.5 and only pay $45 dollar difference.(great deal for a cash deal).

I'm going to daily drive the car and want to be able to get a good amount of miles out of the tires and not cripple the handling of the car and I don't want to run over fenders.

If anyone has some good pictures that would be awesome. I've only seen people running non staggered 17x9 or non staggered 17x9.5.
