Dynamic range: the ratio between the smallest and largest possible values of a changeable quantity, such as in sound and light.

Any set of two or more exposures combined to produce a single image is an HDR, it doesn't matter what time of day the photo is taken. Light works the same way at night as it does in the day, you just have to set your f-stops lower if you don't want it underexposed.

Anyway, some HDRs are less extreme than others, but that doesn't mean they aren't HDRs... it's all in how you tonemap the photo. IMO the best HDRs are subtle.

one of the last ones i attempted. i still get crap about them in dedicated "photography" sections like i was talking about before.
this one was taken with 5 exposures, -2, -1, 0, +1, and +2
i think it looks neat but not what HDR gurus are looking for when they take pics themselves

I'm just saying to really do it correct 3 images is pretty weak and unless you shoot RAW it isn't the same shooting in 8 bit vs 16 bit.

This one I pushed past the point of reality just to see how it turned out, its old and the only one I have saved on S2ki, I usually don't shoot HDR.
