This is a funny thread. I think I may have the oldest rice (German rice that is). This was a '76 Rabbit I had in high school ('85). Back then there wasn't an import scene. Most of the mods were cosmetic - Weber carb conversion, Kamii front airdam, foglights, hoodscoop (made from non automotive part), vinyl stripes, painted bumpers and wheels, white letter tires, fake sheepskin seat covers, Kenwood tape deck and a pair of 6X9s, cardiogram (heartbeat line) on the rear glass.

Please don't laugh too hard at my pic - remember this was 1985.

that OE Tuning CF hood is some shitty ass hood...and my front lip broke so the car looks even worse.

this is NOT my car, but he got the exact same set up after i sold my car I post because better resolution

but i it i got soooo many girls with that car haha that was when i was back in high school. Still miss that car but now i got my S and i LOVE IT EVEN MORE
