Default Out with the old and in with the new...

Hey guys, I know that there aren't too many fans of bimmers on here, but I figured that I would show you guys what replaced the S2K. Its mostly bone stock for the time being, but that should change during the next few months as I have some plans for the new car.

Goodbye turbo s2k....

Hello E92 335i...

love it, but ditch the boost gauge, its not CLEAN. get a Defi, and mount it somewhere different.

congrats on the new ride, the 335 coupes have grown on me, the sedan however is still fugly.

No, I put a cheap boost gauge in there to monitor boost and make sure things were working properly.

Thanks, and I hear you on the boost gauge. I was actually cutting my AC vent to install it flush in the middle of the vent, but the damn vents are too small to even house a 52mm gauge. You also can't use a pillar mount like on the s2k because an airbag blows out of there if you get into an accident and you would most likely then take a boost gauge to the dome. The only other option would have been to mount it in the ashtray, but I wanted something that I could actually see while driving. Working on this car is so much harder then my s2k, nothing is simple.

Typical of most german cars, BMW especially.

Congrats on the new car. I really wanted to get one but it was just out of reach..

Yes, I do miss the s2k sometimes... it was an insanely fun car to drive.

With that said, I don't miss all of the headaches that I had with it, and although the driving experience is much different with the BMW there really isn't a comparison between the two cars. I'm not saying that one is better then the other, they are just completely different. I miss my s2k, but i'm loving the new car. The car just gives you a very solid feel when you drive it, and you feel like you can just push it harder and harder while never loosing control. I guess that means that it doesn't have the same hardcore edge as the s2k, but that is one of the trade-offs I suppose.
