Am I the only INGS person that painted their "diffuser" with Flat and not gloss??? I thought that would make it stand out more as a seudo-seperate piece . :scratchhead:

mine's painted black chrome to match the color of my wheels
I wanted flat black, but the body shop told me that they couldn't really do that because of the clearcoat. If I had been thinking I would have gone for a graphite color that would have looked like flat black after the clear coat was applied.
Also, I have a TON of pics from the day after I got the car back, but they didn't paint the rear the way I wanted. I had to take the car because of a photo shoot, but I took it back later that week and had it done right.
Unfortunaly I have VERY few pix of that.
That's the way it is now, and I like it a LOT. I promise to take more pix in the spring once the car comes out of hibernation.

An experianced body shop can do anything you want, they just told you that because its easier for them. All they have to do is paint the bumper the base color, tape off the section you dont want cleared and then shoot the clear. After that it dry they mask off the cleared section and then just apply the base coat of the other color you want and not put a clear coat over it. Its a longer process but it can be done very easily.
