im tossing the idea around of satin black vinyl on the hood and trunk. im not sold on it yet, but the idea of the material being around 100 bucks and just taking an afternoon to throw it on is not bad. plus if i dont like it i can just peel it off.

anywho, anyone have any pics of a suzuka blue s2k with black hood or trunk, or both?

Please don't, it will look like poop. Get CF parts if you want this look; even then, unpainted CF doesn't look too good on Suzuka.

Looks just like any other color S2k with a painted black or c/f hood.

 

it looks right on suzuka ONLY when the exterior is entirely modded. i used to have a full kit/hood/trunk/j's wing and it looked good to most people who saw it

 

my car is far from fully modded exterior. ehh, i might pchop mine to see if i would like it. this idea is in its infancy thats for sure. friend is gonna try it on his car first, guess i will see how that goes.

my 2 cents, dont do it.

for the reason being that oem hood is too plain to be any color other than OEM. if you had a mugen hood, js hood, asm hood, any other hood with some sort of lines/vents/curves then the black looks 10x better. but a super smooth surface with nothing just look whack.
