I was just looking at my alignment specs and everything seems to be within factory range except for my rear camber being negative 2. The ride is a little stiffer than stock, but in no way jarring. I've been running the springs for about 2 years and I haven't had problems with the struts.

i think it gave me more like a 1.5" drop... tires didn't rub with the fender/fender lining with the OEM 17's. I currently have 18" BBSs and the fronts rub slightly on uneven turns since front alignment is within factory specs (no negative camber). The car is better aligned now as well. I also researched the Espelirs before taking the plunge and I must admit i'm happy with them. Here's another pic of it more level with a pic with the 18's as well for comparison...
i'll post my alignment specs if you want...but i'll have to look for it first. Hope it helps.
With the BBS LM's on your car, your car is straight up SEX!

The drop is pretty nice on espelirs, but for me, I'm feeling a lot of bumpsteer, to the point where I get agitated whenever I go over bumps. and turning at high speed gets scary with your rear end bouncing everywhere rofl, you get what you paid for ya know
That's why you should have gone for Swift Sport Mach Springs which lowers about an inch in the front and an inch in the rear.
not trying to flame but why should you even conside using espilir on stock damper?(unless i read you wrong)
the rate is almost double if i remember right for espilir spring when you compare to stock spring rate(on my model year), and i think it's rear baised also(like ap1)
while eibach is a only a mild drop and around the ball park 50 lb more than oem spring rate, dont quote me on the number since they are all in my other PC.
sure, the lower the better looking but if you think more than one inch, you are looking at dampering change, bumpsteer and all.

So if you lower your car less than an inch or about an inch and no more, it should be fine for the suspension right?
I would also be cautious of putting springs on a car of that age. What is your mileage currently OP?
I put Eibach on my '06 when it had fewer than 10k miles and I have not had any problems. I am now at 28k and the car still handles superbly. I didn't see the reason to replace virtually new shocks with Koni's. Besides, Honda did design a great shock set up, I figured it would last a while.
For those who are wondering- I believe you are supposed to change shocks out anyway you go at about 50k miles on most cars. So it isn't like the stockies will last you forever.
Op- I know you wanted 17's, but I think I will whore my car up a bit anyway:
18" BBS LMs with Eibach on stock shocks. For what its worth, if you plan on using a 17 inch setup, most have agreed that Eibach doesn't give the right look for 17" wheels. It just doesn't seem to be enough of a drop to me. With 18s, the additional height of the wheel/tire fills it out nicely.
