status report: talked to the guy over the phone. apparently the car was his cousin's (who died in iraq) and he didn't know what it was, and just tried to sell it. he says he is going to paypal the money back to me. so we shall see. anyway, thanks again for everyone's input.

i got my mugen header a while back for $300 and i thought it was a fake til i came and checked it out and it was the real deal. the guy wanted to get rid of it since its been in his garage for a while and plus it didnt come with a heatshield which wasnt a biggy.
